Playing files with Windows Media Player 11

The Windows Media Player has some interesting features. (Others may have these also) When I click one of these files using the K-MELION browser the player starts right in playing the file. It is like a "live" playing with only "pause" that works. The playing bit rate (bits/sec) on these files is less than 1Mbit/sec. If your download speed is greater than 1Mbit/sec, the player puts the excess video into a buffer file. If the option "save playing file" is chosen in "options" the player makes a file that reaches the total file bytes before the end of the video. The faster the download speed, the sooner the file is complete. At this point, the play becomes purely "on demand" streaming, i.e. the play is like that of a DVD. Furthermore, the "saved file" can be accessed and played totally "on demand" at any time. I have not found where this file is saved in Windows XP as of yet. It is easier to find in Windows 7. The path to the saved files is:
c:\users\%your login name%\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\transcoded files cache\
